the bull, the pot and the Fish

hi bloggie... need to make my presence felt here, since my blog was rumored to be dead. but i reckon will die soon due to suffocation from assignment deadlines.

I had never drank red bull straight from a can. I only tasted red bull last year mixed together with vodka. this year, i drank red bull a couple times now to keep me awake to complete assignments, presentation and exams.

just pulled thru a horrifying presentation. the class was generally nice. still, i couldn't understand where my nerve went. glad that it is all over.

guess the Bulls will still be flooding in.. assignments are still in red. =(

recently had a pot luck at the Boy's house. so, we did cooking. there were 3 chef from our house, so the kitchen was smaller than it was! but the food turned out good and i learned how to play Bridge. Fun! Fun! Fun!

and, finally we had fish! fresh fish, not some fillet... i love fish, but seafood in newcastle is expensive. so dun really have the chance to eat them. found out about this fish market place that sells fresh fish. still not very cheap, but the fish is good =) miss eating crabs.

k, the entry is not written very well, cause i am procrastinating! lol.

Newy

hi bloggie.. i know it had been a while since i blogged. wanted to blog about the Great Au trip, but keep procrastinating..

well, i had a great trip with Siang, Cyndy and Peggy. from newy to canberra to brisbane, surfers paradise. so much fun. not gonna do a collage on photoshop on all the photos. photos can viewed on Facebook.
At Great height, People goes crazy
(Great Au trip Participants)

hmm, visited so many places, the mountains, museums, and the themeparks. I love exciting rides, and roller coaster! lol, the superman was awesome, but secretly i liked the scooby~doo one. coz of the backward falling of the coaster! awesome!

Batwing spaceshot!
(Movieworld)

so much fun thru' out the trip. definitely a good break for all of us!

the when i was back in newcastle, it was slacking ard with my sims, vampire and ross, rachel, monica, chandler, phoebe, and joey. lol, i was playing my sims 3, watching my date with a vampire 1, and FRIENDS season 1. hahaha, can tell how bored i was. hmm, bored isn't exactly a good word, shld be how free i am! lol..

Down the Beach
(Newy)

we took a bus, went to the beach, to the lighthouse, to Kiwi's, back to the bus stop and to charlestown! and we went to watch Harry on another occasion... I love Harry. have always been. the book harry. can't say the same for the movie harry. but to say the truth, i actually liked this one. comparing with the previous movies, it may not be true to the book (as usual), but it is a good summary in a way. to me, book and movie can never be the same. anyway, looking forward to the last 2 movie, since the funeral for the best wizard is due in the next movie. it is strange, where by i heard many negative review about the movie, and turns out many are book fan. but book fan are the ones that religiously turns up at the cinema.

What do you see
(National Day Dinner)

the dinner was a blessing in disguise. we didn't want to go. at least not initially. but at the end of the day, i was happy we went. we made new friends in Newy that are really a great bunch. now i can say i have more than 10 friends in Newy! to think all of us bond so fast. it was a pleasant surprise. after the dinner, we went for coffee and made plans for gathering! and we met up again the next day for movie, G.I. Joe! of coz, i enjoy it alot! hahaha, and we met again on wed for ice cream and drinks! gosh, and i am meeting this same crazy, fun and awesome bunch on sat for badminton. this is bad, they will make me miss newy more!

lol. by now, school already started. 4 modules this sem, a lighter load compared to previous sem. I think i will enjoy this sem more. i have a good feeling for the upcoming presentation, and essays.. i dunno y. maybe becoz this is the last sem. lots of thots surge for the last sem. toying with the thot of a double degree and work. Newy is starting to grow on me. i still miss SG. but, there is something about newcastle that i know i will miss greatly when its time to go home.

well, till the next time i update bah!

Comfort Food

Hi bloggie.. Vacation is here, and i am alone in the house... *wind blow*

Chew went back to small dot country and Aamir went back to India. Chrystabel decided to visit her aunt... for the weekend.. so, i'm only alone for 2 days, no worries people..

today (sat) is half gone, i think i was bitten by the sleep bug. was totally knocked out till the late morning today! so decided that my alone venture to either glendale or kotara is suspended till... tomorrow (hopefully).

nonetheless, i have things to do around the house. like laundry, watching movie, playing sims 3, cooking, web browsing for upcoming, anticipated trip, playing some more sims, and some cleaning!

The Sims 3

okay... i am a Simmer! hahaha.. i have all the sims games on PC... okay.. maybe not all, but definitely a Simmer! i was so looking forward to this game, when it was SUPPOSED to launch in Feb.. but it was decided to push back to June, coz, the programmer wants to refine, fine tune it.. so it was another painful 4 months before it was launch.. the facebook fan page didn't make the wait easier, by constantly posting videos about game.. anyway... my point is, as a Simmer, i will disappoint myself if i didn't lay my hands on the collector's edition..i absolutely love the plumbob thumbdrive, which i probably won't really used it and lay on top of my shelf back home in SG... when i get back...

and since i am alone, i have to cook food for myself. hahhaa.. i cooked my signature Kung Pao chicken, as, the recipe was already by the fridge, and i had lots of time.. and some stir fried beans (need some greens) and made congee! Comfort food for the homesick soul.

and... Hillary Swank in P.S. I Love You was brilliant! the storyline of the movie was something familiar yet in real life impossible to be carried out. in emails, we always read about this lady's husband died and send flowers to her after his death, because he meticulously planned it. in the movie, the same concept was used and boy, it is really touching. half the time, u are anticipating, what will the now dead husband has already planned and the other half, u go... aww... tt's so sweet...

I like the part where he instructed her in the letter that she shld just keep his jacket for remembrance sake and throw away the others. the symbolic gesture of rbr me, but move on with ur life made my heart melt.

oh... i forgot to mention, TRANSFORMER 2, REVENGE OF THE FALLEN, was brilliant!! i love it! =) a sequel that is as good as its precedent!
