Singapore Zoological Garden

Hi Bloggie, whenever i think of Singapore Zoo, I will think of the advert tune:

We're going to the Zoo, Zoo, Zoo...
How bout you, you, you...
You can come too, too, too...
We're going to the Zoo, Zoo, Zoo...

Too bad, I couldn't find the original advertisement that was screen in my childhood days. Anyway, it was a birthday treat for Siyi and me, and we had so much fun.

The Attendees!
I became the unofficial guide for the trip (as per always). I missed visiting the Zoo. Some changes occurred, but i guess change is good. More extensive changes are on going to accommodate the upcoming new guest of the Zoo, China Panda!

To the Ferry (Look at the Siyi and Siew at the back)
There is now a ferry service that brings you back nearer to the entrance of the zoo from mid point. On board the ferry that strolls along Seletar Reservoir. Enjoying the breeze on board the ferry is enjoyable, especially on a hot humid day.

Panoramic Shot (On Board Ferry)
Lastly, I saw one of my favorite animal, the Tiger! Can't be helped that it coincide with my Zodiac sign!

Once Upon a Time

Hi Bloggie, today I met Vanny for lunch. It is so good to meet up with her, although she "complained" that our meet up makes her feel "old and sudden realisation of past time".  LOL. I am always grateful that our connection remains after we both left the beloved and precious place, and evolve from Superior to Friends relationship. It was from her that I learn, "以德服人" and I will always remember this teaching.

Just finished season 1 of Once Upon a Time. The neat reference to childhood familiarities of fairytale is what attracted me. The variation of the characters against the original reference is what kept my attention. As I grow older, different variation of childhood fairytale presents itself. From Tim Burton's adaptation of Alice in Wonderland....

to Wicked, the untold story of the witches of Wizard of Oz.

Haha, guess one can't say they truly know their childhood favorites. And definitely, "Don't Judge a Book by its Cover!"

Updates and USS

Hi Bloggie! its been so long that i can't get used to writing an entry!

Hmm, so much happens for the past 6 months. I found and lost a job... a dear friend finally forgave me a lil for a terrible mistake i made a while ago. been to weddings and birthdays celebrations. having precious memories with close friends while some drifted slowly away. can only feel.. time really waits for no one...

2012 was predicted to be a "bad" year for the Tiger babies.. well, i guess there is some truth, with my career path still murky in the shallow water! Not to mention, no windfall for CNY gambling this year, or any time of the year, YET!

Well, this entry wasn't suppose to be gloomy.. and I did have so much fun couple of days ago...

Gang (Less 1) @ Shangri-Le Rasa Sentosa

With better spending power, we find ourselves in hotel rooms instead of chalets! Thankful to JY and her xiao didi (Can't resist calling him that!), we got a good deal and age caught up with us by retiring to bed as early as 1 am (for me! Sorry Peh!).

It was a good night with drinks and endless laughter. Everyone was really quick and the 2 boys are always at the receiving end (this time literally, with drinks)!

 Gang with Oscar (the Grouch)!

This is one of my fav photo! I guess we looked so young and happy in it! I am so proud of the girls who braved the Cylon Ride (aka Blue Roller Coaster, or according to TPL: WTF!)
Scrolling the pictures, i still think we didn't take enough photos. I guess the weather was not accommodating and everyone is slightly discouraged to take more photos. I think everyone brought home lots of memories and for me, I am really glad things work out well, and everyone making the effort is the greatest memories of all.
After so many years of blog (with long absence in these 2 years), I guess I still can't conjure a good way to end a post. LOL! Well, think its back to my shows. =D

Passionately Walking/ USS Horror Nights

Dear Bloggie, it has been a long long time since I blogged. Life is now on relaxation pace after I left Nexia TS. Besides catching up on lost sleep (can't believe how sleep deprived I was) and catching up on people's relations, I was catching up on my drama.

I guess, it was the tension that kept me going when I was at Nexia, and now that I left, I got on the pace of Australia!

Meeting up with friends and going for family dinners are blessings =D. I liked the night at Breko, with so many fun jokes and laughter. The Gang is always a group that I am glad that they crossed my path and remain there. Thinking back on how juvenile we were, when we whine and complain and throw tantrum when everyone cannot meet; now, we are happy that we can attend (besides the open secret of being gossip for absentees).

29 October was a fun day for me. Passionate~ly Walk~ing with JY, Ting, Cyn and Audrey was hilarious. and of cause the beautiful skyline of Singapore's expensive stretch by the Singapore River.

Muliple Hands - JY!
The River that Brings us Life - Home, Kit Chan
Too bad our adventure had to be cut short as me and the 2 Ung Sisters have to proceed to the Night of Horrors!!!! (input thunderstorm and scary laughter).
We proceeded to Sentosa USS for the fright of our lives! We met up with the Tee Sisters (See Hui and See Yee), Siew and Siyi! I was exceptionally delighted with the thoughts of rides -  up the top with the Battlestar Galatica - Human and Cyclops! and I wasn't disappointed by it. The thrill pushes my adrenaline so high, i only manage to catch my sleep 9 in the Morning!
The haunted house of the Perankan Matriarch was absolutely stunning (in a frightful way). I have to physically cover and push the Tee Sisters to make them move along the trail.
We finally understood why people were laughing when they exited the trail, it was a sense of relieve and laughing of silliness of getting intimidated by dressed up humans. I am impressed with the make up and effects of USS Horror Nights and I will definitely be there next year.

Starving Zombies
See Yee, Zombie, Siyi
Waiting to be scared by the Perankan(s)
The Ung Sisters and Me (Audrey is ALWAYS at the receiving end of my jokes and pranks)
Wannabe Ghost 1

Failed Wannabe Ghost 2

Indiana Jones (Failed Wannabe Ghost 3)
The waiting in line was tiring and aching (for the leg) but i guess we enjoyed the night a lot. If the climate wasn't as humid, I guess it would be perfect. For me, I liked the haunted house a lot and i was thinking where i got my guts from, considering i have absolute disliked for horror movies.Throughout the evening, i was either saying good job to the ghost, or laughing my heads off.

It is an enjoyable break for me. and now, i am ready to plunge into the working world again. so any job recommendation please let me know!

lone ranger

Hi bloggie.... the team has fallen, the sinking ship is in half and I am on planks.

Sometimes I don't understand myself. Y do I have to be so "mature" and keep everything afloat. Y do I always the youngest have to think for the others. Can't I be a person who just concentrate on her own things and dun care if other drown.

But I was taught that a team work together, thru thick and thin. I am tired being the center, yet, I held on to the faith that things will get better.
I wish things are not as complicated as they were. Where times were simpler.

I think maybe I too need a change.
